About the Speaker

Brigitte Trace is the Respiratory Patient Education and Discharge Coordinator at Craig Hospital and was recognized as Respiratory Care Practitioner of the Year for the state of Colorado in 2012. Brigitte has worked for Craig Hospital for many years and is part of a team providing holistic care to patients with brain and spinal cord injuries. It was after several years of working at Craig as a staff therapist that she saw a need that was not being met in the area of discharge planning for patients with complex respiratory needs. Within a short time, the administration realized this needed be a full-time job and created the position of Respiratory Patient Education and Discharge Coordinator.
