The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the role of pharmacists as part of interdisciplinary teams, as well as the role of medications in rehabilitation for patients with brain injury. Participants will gain insight into the practice of inpatient clinical pharmacy and how pharmacists contribute to the rehabilitative process. This webinar will also provide an overview of medications used to treat the effects of BI, including the rationale for their use and possible pitfalls. Pharmacists provide specialized BI medication education to staff, patients, and the broader community to optimize care and mitigate adverse consequences.

About the Speaker

Stacia Rumer is the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator at Craig Hospital. She received her PharmD from the University Of Colorado School Of Pharmacy and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, as well as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Stacia has worked at Craig Hospital for 21 years and is part of an interdisciplinary team providing holistic care to patients with brain injury. She has presented locally and nationally on the off-label use of medications for the treatment of the effects of brain injury. She also is involved with resiliency training for health care providers at Craig Hospital. Outside of Craig, she enjoys raising her 2 awesome kiddos, youth ministry, yoga, and golf.
